#6 is a poem created by Justin Sanchez, Woodlands Middle/High School. He performed it at the exhibit's opening reception.

              I'm Just a Kid With a Dream

I can tell a story by the way that I dance

by the way that I stroke the brush on the canvas

by the way that my pen moves on a piece of paper

by the way the sticks sound on the percussion.

ART is what they call it but for me it's real life

real pain

real hype

every time I perform on stage

that feeling I get when I sing.

I'm just a kid with a dream

it isn't just ART for me

it's a part of me

from Picasso to J-Cole

it's all art to us

it's a part of us!
